保持平静、临危不乱

例句：He was as cool as a cucumber when he met the gang on the street.
当他在街上遇上坏分子时，他依然保持平静。

这句谚语最先出现在1732年的新诗，青瓜的触感较冰凉，所以被比喻作沉着冷静的状态，又或是冷酷无表情变化的人。

2. Drive me nuts
把我逼疯了

例句：His ridiculous speech has almost driven me nuts.
他荒唐的言论快要把我逼疯了。

3. Be nuts about
非常热衷

例句：She is nuts about recording the stories of society as a journalist.

她非常热衷于以记者的身份纪录社会的故事。

谚语用吃果仁的愉快心情比喻参与自己喜欢的事。

4. Butter someone up
为得到利益而巴结人

例句：The manager butters the investors up for benefits at the competitive industry.

谚语源自于60年代的美国，从Going Ape一词演化，形容猩猩为了得到香蕉时发怒的状态！

年少轻狂的日子

例句：He has organised many community activities in his salad days.

必须保证新鲜的沙律菜，被用作形容短暂的青春岁月。

9. That’s the way the cookie crumbles
世事难料

例句：

A：I have tried to get to the station as soon as possible, but I still missed the train.

B：Well, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
唉…人生本来就是难以预料。
