关于题材的选择

我不明白,顾长卫为什么要选择这样一个题材来拍电影。这个题材讲述的是上个世纪七十年代一个平民家庭的生存故事,而落笔的重点又是这个家庭三兄妹的成长故事。按理说,只要有好的故事,好的立意,又不触犯电影局的管理禁区,任何题材都可以拍。但问题是,我看不出这部电影想要什么,或者说想表现什么。从电影所讲述的故事来看,并没有什么大喜大悲的人生离合,也没有什么剧烈的矛盾冲突,导演所作的一切努力似乎就是模拟、还原那个时代一个平民家庭的生存状态,除此之外,这部电影能给观众提供的有意义的东西实在是太少了。
